Systems Integration Solutions seeks GIS Contractor

August 5 - Systems Integration Solutions in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking to fill a 10-month GIS contract in Oakland (working offsite may be possible for the right candidate).

The person(s) will support the development of the 511 BikeMapper web application.  This is a turn-by-turn trip itinerary that supports bicycle trip planning within the nine bay area counties. Assist with the expansion of the online Bike Trip Planner application, a web based automated bicycle trip planning tool for disseminating regional biking information, including bike route maps, and preferred routes for travelling by bicycle to transit systems.

Requirements include:

• HTML/Javascript programming
• Knowledge of GIS principles/practices
• Some experience with the ArcGIS Desktop Software (ArcView/ArcINfo etc)
• Working Knowledge of relational databases  (oracle sql, etc)
